Part one of a two part series.
There are three things Lily Evans immediately notices about her new
neighbor, Jay Lincoln. The first is his monstrous size, the second is the
malicious way he glares at her, and thirdly, but most importantly, the three
scars that mark his right eye. She knows the smart thing to do is stay away,
but she has never met or seen anyone like him. The more time she spends with
this frightening yet captivating man, the harder it becomes. He can make her
hairs stand on end but he also has a sweetness to him that tugs at her heart.
Soon she finds herself merged into his world full of murder, revenge, and
deceit.
Mag’s 4 Star Review:
Lily
Evans has found herself back living at home with her mom, after getting out of
an abusive relationship. Holidays can be stressful as it is, but having
every one of your family members looking at you like you may break is enough to
drive anyone nuts. When her mom asks Lily to take a plate over to the
neighbor’s house, Lily is intrigued yet scared by the huge beautiful man.
After rescuing Lily from an attack at a bar, Jay Lincoln finds himself being
drawn to her more than he ever should. Before Jay can successfully remove
himself from her life, Lily is thrown into it head first.
I
bought this book on a whim and was really really surprised by it. Jay is
a hot as sin cold-blooded killer with a heart of gold. The way he
protects Lily is beautiful. I can’t wait until I am able to read the next
book, and figure out what happens with Jay and Lily!
