Manda's 3 Star Review:
Emily
Bronwyn would do anything for her best friend Stacy, so when he calls her and
asks her to help him co-manage the rock bad Sticken's music tour she jumps at
the chance. Emily finds herself thrown into a world of wild and mouthy rock
stars the worst of all the bands lead singer Johnathan Striker. Refusing to
back down to him she is determined to prove herself but resisting the rockers
charms maybe harder than she thought. After a short tour break completely
changes her life Emily is now forced to face a life she never imagined she
would have.
I
had a hard time connecting with this book in the beginning. I love rock star
bad boy books but I kind of felt like this one was going in multiple directions
at once. The main characters would make a declaration and then almost
immediately do the opposite. I felt like everything jumped around but by the
end of the book I was invested in what happens next. It was enough to keep me
interested and ready to read the next book in the series.
Stricken Unveiled (Stricken

Manda's 3 Star Review:
Once
again Johnathan is playing games and breaking Emily's heart. She loves
Johnathan and will forever share a connection to him but can they really have
the relationship she wants and the one he says he wants.
I
don't know what to think of this story. I can't seem to put it down but at the
same time it makes me so angry. Johnathan is a terrible character and the more
I read about him the more terrible he is. The further along I get the more I
think to myself if Emily stays with him she is an idiot. I can't see where he
could do anything to redeem himself at this point. I have no idea where this
series is going to go but I will be there to find out. As angry as I am at the
story I can't stop reading it. All of the relationships in this book seem very
one sided including Emily and Claire. It always seems one person is trying for
more than the other. Looking forward to the next book so I can maybe figure
some of this out. Good series that keeps you interested!
My 4 Star Review!!
After
Emily leaves Johnathan in rehab she is struggling keeping her emotions in check
due to being 12 weeks pregnant with Johnathan’s twins. While Johnathan is
away Emily reconnects with Claire, an ubér hot ad executive who just happens to
be a lesbian and have feelings for Emily. Emily and Claire set off on a
journey of sexual exploration and awakening. Claire must leave to go to
New York on business around the time Emily is getting Johnathan out of rehab
and after some extreme lies and truths come out, Emily is left alone with no
one but James her body guard to help her. Emily is faced with some life
altering choices to make yet again in this amazing second book in the Stricken
series.
I
have a serious love hate relationship with this series! I absolutely get
sucked into it and cannot stop reading, but I literally want to throw my kindle
across the room multiple times each chapter. On my review from the
first book I said, “Emily is the type of heroine I love. She has a smart
and sassy attitude; she takes no crap from anyone and has a level head on her
shoulders. She can be bossy and demanding at times, but also shows her
ability to be caring and humble” all that is so true and then some! I
can’t imagine dealing with the crap she has to put up with when it comes to
Johnathan.
I
have read books where there are characters that you want to hate but you can
also relate to why they are that way, but Johnathan is not that type of
person. I can honestly say there is nothing I like about this
character. He is a complete jerk. With that being said, I still loved
this book and encourage people to read this series. You will defiantly
laugh out loud with it, get all hot and bothered, and probably get teary eyed
as well.

Manda's 4 Star Review:
Needing
a vacation Emily heads to the mountains with her friends for some down time.
Away from the stress of Johnathan and being separated from Claire Emily finds
herself relaxing and letting go. While she spends most of her time with her
bodyguard and best friend James she finds herself growing closer to him. She
can't believe how this wonderful man could be alone. As they grow closer he
reveals why he is alone and Emily finds that she wants nothing more than to
make him feel worthy of a good woman. When vacation is over Emily and James
return to find Johnathan has a surprise but is it really something Emily wants
or is it too late for Johnathan.
FINALLY!!!
Ok, so I have been so confused and angry at the first two books but now
everything makes sense! Love this part of the story I finally feel like things
are heading in the right direction for Emily. Having James in her life as her
friend and bodyguard has really changed everything. I LOVE James! What a
fantastic character and the story is getting better and better. Cannot wait for
the next book. I need to know what happens now! Definitely the best of the 3
books.
My 5 Star Review!!
After
things in LA get way too stressful for Emily to handle, she decides to take a
vacation with her best friend and body guard James. Being away from all
the crap Johnathan has put Emily through and being separated from her previous
best friend Stacey and her girlfriend Claire, Emily finds herself turning more
towards the comfort of James. She learns more about him and finds
feelings that were hidden deep within her. Following a truly relaxing
vacation, Emily returns to LA, Johnathan, and all the other stress that is
included there and finds Johnathan stepping his game up to try and win Emily
back. Emily must make a choice about Johnathon, but is it too late for
Emily and him?
Reading
books one and two made me angry, confused, and honestly a little hostile but SK
is a complete genius. I loved every minute of this book and am seriously
counting down until the time for the fourth and final book to be
released. In this book, we learn much more about James and who he is, and
I must say he is pretty amazing. He was there for Emily throughout
everything anyone has done for her, and is a genuinely a great
individual.

Manda's 3 Star Review:
After
spending weeks in the hospital things are finally almost perfect for Emily.
Engaged to the man of her dreams, and about to welcome her children into the
world she is happier than she could of imagined. Even Jonathan's crazyness
can't bring her down. Just when things are at their most perfect the
unthinkable happens leaving Emily heartbroken. Jonathan is determined to prove
to Emily he is the man she can depend on and the one she should be spending her
life with. The only problem is Cammie. He loves Emily but she just can't seem
to let Cammie go.
Did
not see that coming! This story takes a turn that I did not anticipate. I liked
that it went in a different direction than most books in this genre would have.
Great job to S.K Logsdon for writing a story that keeps you pulled in and
unable to put it down. I have really enjoyed the twists and turns in this
series. However, I have said this from the very beginning and I will say it again
I just don't like Jonathan. Making this my least favorite book of the series.
Even up to the very end I just couldn't find anything about him that didn't
make me angry. With that said the series as a whole is one that I enjoyed and
was unable to put down.
Mag’s 2 Star Review:
In
the last installment of Sticken Rock series, Emily finds herself coming back to
LA trying to figure out what to do about James and Johnathan. While
trying to carry her twins to full term, Emily is thrown into more emotional struggle
than she has ever had before.
I
was really torn while reading this book. I came off an extremely
emotional high with book three and then was extremely let down with book
four. I think for me personally, I was just over Jonathan and his drama as
a person. I wouldn’t hold this book again the series though; I just
wouldn’t read the last book again.
Note: This is a story of finding oneself, through the horrors and pains
of life. This isn't just a story about love. It's a story about anguish. This
is a story about Lex's journey to acceptance.
Not for Close minded people.
Lex
Keagan isn't your typical woman. Her past has left her broken and
afraid, yet she remains bold and successful. As a result of her painful past,
love has never come easy; therefore, she’s convinced herself to spend her
entire adult life staying busy working at her own company--that is, until her
best friend Roni persuades her to give online dating a try. When she concedes,
Lex quickly discovers that the world of online dating is nothing like she's
ever dreamed. The mysterious charm of her online crush leaves her reluctant and
afraid to let love in. As two more men enter her life outside of the online
dating world, she's left confused and overwhelmed. Who will she chose? With the
deep scars and raw truths her past contains, is anyone capable of accepting the
real woman trapped inside, or will she remain alone forever?
Caution: This book contains heavy adult sexual context, which may
include LGBT scenes. Some heavy emotional scenarios, including ones of abuse,
might be difficult to read. For ages 18+
Manda's
3 Star Review
Wow!
What can I say about this book. Completely not what I expected. S.K Logsdon has
completely caught me off guard with this one. So many twists and surprises in
this book that will leave you stunned. Definitely the first book that I have
read with this story line. Great job S.K Logsdon for bringing something new to
the table. Not much I can say about this book without giving something away,
but I will say I liked all the characters and thought they were well written.
Lex is a strong character who is determined to be successful and is less worried
about finding a man in her life. Her best friend knows she is lonely and wants
nothing more for her than to be happy, so she forces her to start an online
dating profile. Lex has a past filled with pain and is having trouble trusting,
but through this online profile she meets Suit Master. He seems to good to be
true and she figures he is. While trying to get to know her online friend
another man comes into her life. This one is a cocky lawyer who infuriates her
but she can't seem to escape him. Lex has to decide if she can trust them
enough to let them in or if she is destined to be alone. Again good job to the
author for bringing something new to the table. This book may not be for
everyone but S.K Logsdon has done a great job creating these characters.
